Masterpiece

Haunting remnants of my youth, living a
forbidden dread—darkness ripping
away my innocence while I evaded
capture by that ghostly shadow,
an undeserved darkness never to be
divulged.

I pilfered moments of silent insurgency,
my sanctuary found in solitude—secret depths
of spirit's space, where sovereignty
holds its rule.

And yet I survive beyond their demise—they
who would have broken me, and likewise
those who may still try.

My once-splintered soul is a
kintsukuroi masterpiece preserving
my eternity.
